My approach and Focus
Therapist | Career & Life Development Coach
Loveland, CO
I’m Hal—a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Board Certified Coach-in-training, and a trauma-informed therapist and coach with a passion for helping people navigate transformation with purpose and precision.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, my work blends the insight of behavioral science with real-world leadership experience. My coaching and counseling approach is grounded, future-focused, and fully personalized.
Before entering the world of behavioral health and coaching, I spent 29 years in emergency services—rising through the ranks, earning multiple promotions, and serving in high-trust roles on technical rescue and hazardous materials teams. I led training and development programs for recruits and officers alike, focusing on tactical skill building, performance growth, and leadership development.
I also served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, where I successfully navigated several career shifts, achieved promotions across multiple ranks, and was appointed to specialized emergency response teams—experiences that demanded both strategic thinking and personal resilience.
After retiring from emergency services, I transitioned into the field of behavioral health, where I continue to support individuals in personal development, goal achievement, and identity reinvention.
Why I Do This Work
I’ve lived every stage of the professional arc: starting out, growing within a role, facing critical decisions, changing paths, getting promoted, stepping into new identities—and redefining life after retirement.
These transitions have shown me this truth:
When you’re aligned with your personality, values, and purpose, motivation and self-discipline aren’t something you have to force—they emerge naturally.
That alignment is what I help others discover and strengthen.
